We’re building our 28MW Chaintrix wind farm, our first to be built from our 0.3GW French pipeline
We’re expanding across the complementary markets of Spain, France, Italy and Greece in Southern Europe to deliver 2.4GW of secured and 2.5GW of future prospect onshore wind, solar and co-located projects. We’re also pursuing opportunities across ancillary technologies including storage and Power-to-X.
We’re aiming to reach a final investment decision in 2023 on around 100MW of new onshore projects in Southern Europe this year. And we plan to begin construction shortly on our first two onshore wind projects in Spain and in France in 2023, with at least one further project targeting a final investment decision later in the financial year.
Our plans for growth across Southern Europe are being delivered by a dedicated and experienced team of over 70 renewable energy professionals, based out of our regional corporate and technical offices in Madrid and Bilbao, Spain. Our regional operations are headed up by Ángel Hernández del Teso, Director of Development and Construction for Southern Europe.
