The 48MW Bindoo Wind Farm in Cootehill in Co. Cavan was commissioned in March 2007 and consists of 32 turbines.
The wind farm can power around 32,000 homes^ and help abate almost 40,000 tonnes of harmful carbon dioxide per annum*.
East Cavan and Monaghan Community Fund
Through our Bindoo and Gartnaneane Wind Farms in East Cavan, and Mullananalt Wind Farm in Co. Monaghan, we make around €100,000 per year available for local projects promoting energy efficiency and social sustainability through our Community Fund programme.
