About Yellow River

Yellow River Wind Farm

Yellow River is a 29-turbine consented wind farm, with an installed capacity in excess of 100MW located outside Rhode, County Offaly. SSE Renewables commenced construction on the wind farm in November 2022, with the expected completion date in 2024. The project is expected to support up to 80 fulltime construction jobs at peak delivery.

It is estimated the Community Benefit Fund will total approximately €595k per annum over the course of 15 years. The Fund will be open to applications from not-for-profit community enterprises, clubs & societies and similar not-for-profit entities, with a focus on the following UN Sustainable Development Goals.
