The Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm is a Joint Venture between SSE Renewables, Red Rock Power, The Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group and Equitix. The community benefit funding package associated with the site has a total value £6 million to benefit groups and organisations in the Highlands and Moray and were set up following extensive engagement with local stakeholders.  The funding was distributed through three funds: Beatrice Partnership Fund, Beatrice Caithness Fund, and Beatrice Moray Fund, all administered by the SSE Renewables Community Investment team on behalf of Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (BOWL).

The Beatrice Caithness Fund was established in 2017, with £2m being made available to the community council areas of Sinclair’s Bay, Wick, Tannach and District, Latheron Lybster and Clyth, and Berriedale and Dunbeath.

It supported a wide range of projects to make a lasting impact in their communities. Further information on how communities have benefited can be found in the Beatrice impact report.

The Fund closed for applications in June 2023 and will not reopen. If you have any queries please contact David Shearer on the details below.
