In 2019, we were successful in securing 15-year contracts for 2.2GW of new offshore wind energy in the UK Government’s most recent auction for low carbon power, including Dogger Bank Wind Farm (now in construction) which we are co-developing with Equinor and Vårgrønn and which will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm once complete.

The first of the 277 wind turbines at Dogger Bank, shown below, began generating in October 2023.

In Ireland, we are progressing the development of Phase 2 of Arklow Bank Wind Park, an 800MW offshore wind farm off the coast of County Wicklow, and we are a leading voice in the emerging offshore wind sector in the Irish market.
